00:00 - 00:07
The speed in which we've moved from initial ideation to initial pre commercialization is a lot faster. I'd say about 30% faster.
00:07 - 00:17
At this moment in my business at Biovation, there isn’t an aspect of our finished product that isn't contained within, collaborated about or monitored through Unifize.
00:17 - 00:25
Everything I need if it's information about our product or about our risk management file or about our design requirements, I go to Unifize to get that.
00:25 - 00:39
Unifize ensures that everything is being done from A to Z, and the ability to link different quality system activities together helps tell the story of our product as it's being made.
00:39 - 00:50
It's brought a lot more accountability and compliance to making sure that the exact formula that we want to be created is being created.
00:50 - 00:58
I would say that, my day to day work, I probably spend about 30-50% of my time interacting with Unifize in some way.
00:58 - 01:04
That sounds high, but that's because use it as a document of record for engineering outputs.
01:04 - 01:09
You know, I might be making a PowerPoint presentation for a design review that's intended to live in Unifize,
01:09 - 01:16
Or I might looking at supplier information that is stored in Unifize.
01:16 - 01:20
It is the easiest source of record for things that I need to find to do my job.
01:20 - 01:25
So being able to recreate that process in Unifize and building the approvals.
01:25 - 01:34
Having Unifize be a repository for all that compliance documentation has made the process a lot easier because someone in R&D can finish a certain stage of validation.
01:34 - 01:40
We go through many stages of raw material validation to ensure that whatever's going to our products is safe and effective.
01:40 - 01:51
It's a little more effortless within Unifize, because I can link a supplier to all the ingredients and an ingredient to all the lots and all the lots to all the formulas and finished product it goes into. So it's very versatile.
01:51 - 02:00
You know, everybody has access to the data. There's no blocks that could prevent somebody from getting to the information that they need. And it's easy to use.
02:00 - 02:14
And what I really enjoyed about Unifize is the fact that we could configure the program for example, we'd want a Design History File to look like we were able to configure Unifize to design it, how we needed it and how we wanted it.
02:14 - 02:26
There's a lot of changes that happen in those files, and it's always good to see the history of that file, who accessed it when it was updated, what was updated? What is the latest file.
02:26 - 02:31
Once it's in the system, it's in the system. Any changes that are made have to be documented.
02:31 - 02:37
And it's that's three button clicks if I'm counting. Right.
02:37 - 02:44
I don't have to go in with the intent of spending half an hour, an hour compiling and pulling individual records.
02:44 - 02:52
So it helps to create a consolidated collaborative effort to create a product and have it launched and to maintain its cycle.
02:52 - 02:56
we didn't have Unifize, it would create a disaster.
02:56 - 03:03
We would be back to square one with finding different ingredients. Reviewing the documentation.
03:03 - 03:14
I can't imagine, I think it would be catastrophic. We would have to start from zero with so many different things.
