In this video, Mikala explains the benefits of using Unifize to centralize the master formula and reduce redundancies. She discusses how the platform has streamlined their formulation processes, improved accuracy, and reduced errors. Mikala highlights how this centralization has led to better resource management and efficiency in their operations, emphasizing the role of Unifize in enhancing productivity and reducing waste.

00:00 - 00:05
Unifize is definitely decreased the manpower as far as building out of master formulas.

00:05 - 00:09
The master formula consists of basically the Bible for how we build a product.

00:09 - 00:24
For creation of master formulas, the review process is much quicker now because again at the get go we are inputting the raw material information which then can be applied to multiple master formulas. But the data is already there. It's already been approved.

00:24 - 00:29
So speaking about like potency that we use for formulations, as soon as you plug in an ingredient, the potency is already there.

00:29 - 00:37
It doesn't need to be reviewed. So it speeds up formulation creation side by at least 50%.

00:37 - 00:43
So Biovation immediately knows what raw material suppliers they can and can't source from for the individual ingredient.

00:43 - 00:54
From label claim, you're also adding and excipients. And then on the Biovation side, they also have an area where they can input manufacturing instructions actually how to make the product.

00:54 - 01:02
We gave them the ingredients. Now they can take it away and make the cake with it and they'll detail all of that information in the master formula conversation.

01:02 - 01:11
Prior to Unifize, we would create our own master formula version, then send the information over to Biovation. They would take our formulation, build it into their own system.

01:11 - 01:22
So there was a lot of redundancies. So two people were doing the same thing twice, essentially. But now with Unifize, from the very beginning on the request for quote will build the master formula as part of the quote.

01:22 - 01:28
But that master formula is there. So as soon as it's approved at the quoting stage, the master formula is done.

01:28 - 01:48
And again, as I mentioned previously, because we've already approved all of the raw materials individually in the system, the review of the master formula from a quality side is just making sure everything was approved from the raw materials and then I can just approve the master formula. I'm not having again, go through each individual ingredient, making sure we've got everything for it.

01:48 - 01:59
You're reducing the amount of time researching. So it's hard to say from cradle to grave the redundancies, but an individual task, I would say at least 25 to 75% in each area, it's probably been.

01:59 - 02:03
So manpower I think, would be the biggest saver there.
