In this insightful video, Mikala explains why Slack and Microsoft Teams cannot replace a collaborative eQMS like Unifize. She discusses the limitations of these platforms in handling quality management processes, emphasizing their lack of specialized features for tracking, auditing, and maintaining compliance. Mikala highlights how Unifize offers a more integrated and comprehensive solution, tailored to meet the specific needs of quality management, thereby enhancing efficiency and ensuring compliance.

00:00 - 00:11
So Slack and Teams I would view as solely a communication tool to discuss items similar to email. Right. Except it's just more informal shorthand.

00:11 - 00:18
Where Unifize allows that collaborative space, but it also ties in all the data with it.

00:18 - 00:30
You're not looking at your email or somewhere in Excel, Dropbox, SharePoint, whatever it may be, to find the information they're talking about via Slack, its there right next to you in the same window, the same frame when you're making these discussions.

00:30 - 00:35
When you use Slack and Teams, it separates the collaborative portion from the data.

00:35 - 00:41
And it also doesn't afford you to have all of the linkages that Unifize lets you.

00:41 - 00:52
So with Slack, you could upload a word document but you can’t upload the finished good lot, which automatically will tie you to raw materials and the testing and the testing that the manufacturer did.

00:52 - 01:10
And it links everything right to it. So if there's additional data you need to grab, it's still linked there. And again, in a moment's click you can go from a Non-Conformance discussion all the way down to the raw material that was delivered from the supplier a lot and their test results and the test results that you did like it's all right there within a moments grasp.

01:10 - 01:13
Slack and Teams cannot do this.

01:13 - 01:23
It all is like a domino effect in Unifize, which I would say the Slack and Teams is just stagnant documents. You actually have to go find them individually one by one.
