What attracted us the most about Unifize

Tedd Carr recounts The Will-Burt Company's extensive search for the ideal quality software, vetting over 30 options before discovering Unifize. The decisive factor was Unifize's user-friendly interface, akin to social media, that required minimal training and ensured swift adoption across their teams. This ease of use, combined with comprehensive onboarding support at no extra cost, distinguished Unifize as the superior choice, fostering its enthusiastic embrace within the company.

Over the last several years, we've looked at a lot of different software solutions. In fact, it was it was just over 30 different, 30 different software solutions that were available out there just really couldn't find the right fit for us. It always seemed like it was either too large or it was, it was too complex or too expensive, or it really just wasn't much better than than our homegrown solution that we already had.

00:30 - 01:02
In our process of managing the different software, we took a kind of a matrix approach to, to looking what was available out there. And our intent was, was creating a ranking system based on identified inputs, things that we thought were critical or important to quality software. We ended up with about 30 different, 30 different inputs that we were looking at, but we kind of narrow that down to focus on on several that were really key, that were really important for us.

01:02 - 01:24
One of the big ones for us was ease of use, the training, implementation time, knowing that if it's not easy to use, if the implementation takes a long time, it was a tremendous amount of training. If the learning curve is large, the people aren't going to take an interest or they're going to, they're going to turn it off and they're just not going to embrace it.

01:24 - 01:43
It just happened to be the very last software that I that I looked at was Unifize. And Ben Merton, he found me on LinkedIn. He sent me an email on it and it piqued my interest. A short conversation later, we set up a WebEx and we explored a little bit deeper into what Unifize could do for us.

01:43 - 02:20
And I found it, I just found it very interesting. And on a 180 degree approach to how we could address quality issues. What you guys offer, I didn't see. So certainly looking at 30 plus different softwares doesn't cover everything that's out there, but it does cover probably some of the largest software providers that are, that are out there. None of them that I looked at, none of them have taken the approach that you've taken, one on how to manage quality tasks.

02:20 - 02:50
What we found with Unifize is they provided support for the entire onboarding process and all that was included in the cost. So there wasn't any surprises. Very easy to use, very intuitive. It acts very much like social media in how it works. And we just found that people really picked that up and they've embraced it. And as every day goes by, we're, you know, we're seeing more and more activity within our company, people using Unifize to get the job done.

But what we've known from what I experience was, is we were able to get there with the system. We still there with the system. The system has what is needed to provide us what we're looking for, because every company, admittedly, is trying to get compliant. If we educate people, if we get people the education that they need and to get over the fear factor, I think 90% of those things can be resolved because most people will go to what they're most familiar with. What I worked with from a different company, but they're not willing to sit down and look at what the demographics are saying. People are into social media now. People are moving fast into fast paced world. But technologies are still antiquated. So there's a disconnect here, right? So while we're moving at a fast pace at home with dragging at work, so why can't we continue that speed while we at work?If your supplier has issues and you're not informed on time, you want to have an alternate supplier in place. If your suppliers are not qualified, you may not know that that needs to happen. And so when you have an integrated system that speaks to itself and is giving you all this data, you literally have the pulse of the organization in your hands as an executive at a money bound access.
